RCCI Cybersecurity MoU Signed to Boost Digital Skills

Rawalpindi: It was a privilege to be part of an event that wasn’t just a signing ceremony; it marked a shared commitment to progress, innovation, and collaboration. On July 4, 2025, I attended the official MoU signing between the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) and ITSOLERA Pvt Ltd, held at RCCI’s headquarters.

This wasn’t simply a formal agreement. It signalled that Pakistan’s business landscape is ready to evolve securely, smartly, and inclusively.

A Meaningful Collaboration

The agreement was signed by Mr. Usman Shaukat, President of RCCI, and Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, CEO of ITSOLERA. Both leaders spoke passionately about digital readiness in the private sector. Their message was simple but powerful.
As someone who has spent years educating organisations on cybercrime and digital safety, I know how dangerous digital gaps can be. That’s why this collaboration stood out not just for the names involved, but for the purpose driving it.

What This Partnership Brings to Businesses

RCCI member companies will now gain access to specialised services in cybersecurity, AI, digital marketing, web development, and more. These services are available with a 30% discount to all active members.

This isn’t just a formality. It’s a practical step toward bridging high-level services with day-to-day business needs. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), in particular, will benefit from affordable expert support.

My Reflections as a Cybercrime Expert

I didn’t just attend this event, I was fully aligned with its mission. I spoke with public and private stakeholders, sharing ideas on how to improve our digital safety culture.

One point I stressed: cybersecurity is now a business imperative, not just an IT concern. Every company, regardless of its size, must consider digital threats as seriously as it considers its finances. That mindset builds true resilience.

Looking Ahead with Purpose

I’m excited about the upcoming initiatives from this MoU. RCCI and ITSOLERA plan to host training sessions, audits, and awareness programs. I’ll be contributing to several of these efforts.

Whether it’s guiding businesses through secure transitions or training staff in cyber hygiene, the goal remains the same: empower organisations with tools that last.
